      Beginning September 2026, Our Lady of Mercy will be offering Youth Ministry for both Middle School and High School students. 

      Mission Statement: To build community, evangelize and form Middle School (Grades 6-8) and High School (Grades 9-12) students using the truth in Holy Scripture and Catechism of the Catholic Church, the beauty of the Catholic Church and its traditions and the goodness of the community of Our Lady of Mercy Parish Community. 

      Vision Statement: Our vision is for all children to experience a profound encounter with God that leads to a revelation of their identity, meaning, purpose, worth and strength in Jesus Christ that transforms them and everything they do.

      Mercy Youth Ministry Team's main goals are the following:
      1. Provide a safe space for all students.
      2. Foster an encounter with God through the sacraments, small group discipleship, socials, sports, service outreach and special events.
      3. Cultivate an environment where students can grow confidently in their identity in Christ and develop an inner strength that transforms their perspective and their future.
      4. Cultivate a culture of truth where we speak truth into the hearts of students. We live in a world where we are bombarded with lies about our identity, purpose, worth and beauty. Using Holy Scripture, Mercy Youth Ministry debunks the lies that we hear and learn from the world during Discipleship.
      5. Teach them how to use the Bible as a tool for spiritual growth and to debunk the lies of the world. Teach them daily prayer and to hear God's voice to strengthen their bond with God, family and others.
